Welcome to St Christopher’s Catholic Primary School. This website gives you an insight into the life of our school, and has been prepared to provide information for those who are considering St Christopher’s as a school for their child to attend, and also to give practical guidance and information to parents of children already attending the school.
At St. Christopher’s we keep the children at the centre of all we do. We see each child as a unique person for whom we want to provide the best possible education. We are an inclusive school and we care for our children, developing them to the best of their abilities in all areas. Holding all this together is our belief in a Catholic Education, where we teach children to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.
We are proud of our school with its happy, nurturing atmosphere and its tradition of hard work, academic achievement, sporting success and parish community involvement.
In February 2011 the school received an interim Ofsted report confirming the school’s ‘Outstanding’ status. Comments from the report include:
- This is an outstanding school in which pupils achieve very well both academically and in terms of their personal and social development
- The quality of the teaching and learning is outstanding
- Pupils take great enjoyment in their education because of the excellent care, guidance and support they receive.
You are warmly encouraged to visit, and see the school in action – please contact Mrs Divine-Jones in our office on 0161 – 430 – 4473 with your enquiries. We see education as a partnership between home, school and parish and we look forward to welcoming you and your child into our school family.
Mrs Maria Waters
Our school mission, in partnership with parents and parish, is to create a caring, worshipping community rooted in Christ’s teaching where everyone can achieve his or her full potential.
